When you purchased this package it came with a downloadable file. The file contains the following documents:
Print the entire package to use during the tests, or alternately, you may only print the "Blank sheets for tests B, D, E, F, G" At a minimum, you must print the blank test sheets as the test is hand-written.
To begin the test, have your blank test sheet, the map book index and a pencil ready. Press play on the video recording and begin the test. You MAY NOT PAUSE THE TEST at any time. The Perfex test is meant to be very fast and candidates regularly fall behind.

perfex test overview
The Perfex test begins with the candidate sitting at a desk in front of a "Perfex multi-tasking machine" and a few other items. The set-up looks like this:
When the candidate is seated the cassette tape will begin. The test is approximately 45 minutes long and once started, it cannot be paused. There are several sections to the test. Two of the sections cannot be mimicked in an online environment. The first is a section where the candidate must read phrases from a series of cue cards. The second is the multi-tasking test where candidates are read a series of commands to follow. An example of this is:
- Turn the knob A to 5 and place the red ring on hook D.
- Date stamp 4 tags and place them on hooks D, A, and F.
- Press the hot shot button and button 3 simultaneously for 2 seconds.
